In 1987, Jean Chalopin left DIC to create Créativité & Développement, and the company was purchased by Andy Heyward and relocated its headquarters to Burbank, CA, relaunching as DIC Entertainment. The logo also changed its font with a heavily-modified version of Gill Sans Ultra Bold, with a dot for the I. This logo is the most well-known out of all of the company's logos, especially for its iconic "Kid in Bed" on-screen logo. This logo was designed by Homer & Associates.

The Incredible World of DiC Logo

In 1995, DIC debuted a new logo and branded themselves as "The Incredible World of DIC" for use for consumer products and merchandise. The standard logo was still used on television at that time.

Despite its rebrand in 2001 this was still used as a secondary print logo, as well as its Burbank, CA studio until its eventual dissolution in late 2008.

On June 20, 2008, DIC Entertainment and Cookie Jar Group announced an agreement to merge. The merger was completed on July 23, 2008 and DIC became a subsidiary of it. Shortly after the purchase, Cookie Jar folded DIC into their own operations on December 6, 2008; DIC's assets are now held by WildBrain.
