This logo continued to be used on BBC Three's 60 Seconds until its final broadcast in 2016, and the opening and closing idents of the program Victoria Derbyshire broadcast on BBC Two and the BBC News Channel until 2019, when the Reithisation of the whole BBC took place.

Following the rebrand of the whole BBC News department in 2008, new graphics were introduced. This graphics package was used until 18 March 2013, when BBC News operations moved to New Broadcasting House in Central London.

Following the move of BBC News from BBC Television Centre in West London to BBC New Broadcasting House on the 18th of March 2013 (BBC World News moved in the 14th of January of the same year), new graphics were introduced. This graphics package has minor yet has significant differences from the 2008 look.

In early 2019, this logo began to be used in various social media images and video, with it being used on the BBC News's YouTube thumbnails since 27 March. The new logo, along with new on-screen graphics for national and local bulletins with the BBC's new corporate font, BBC Reith, launched on-screen on 15 July 2019.
